Well, for starter, Hutus and Tutus have lived with each other for years, so when the Belgian came and started to give the tutus good stuff and made them feel like of they where better, after when the belgians left, the tutus still had their things from the belgians so the Hutus got angry with the Tutus because they betrayed them.
Actually, the Belgians were already afraid of the Hutus and actually took the power away from the Tutsi's and gave it to the Hutus to try to stop the revolt. Once in power it only escalated the movement and when the Belgians saw it was too late they bailed. Brutal right? France too.
